Terms of Use

Last updated: May 20, 2026 · Effective: May 20, 2026

Please read these Terms carefully. By downloading or using the Expense Tracking app you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Expense Tracking (com.expenses.moneytracker, "App", "Service", "we", "our", "us"), available on Google Play.

1 Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you are using the App on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.

2 Licence to Use the App

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on a device you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You may not:

3 User Data & Responsibility

All financial data (expenses, income, loans, budgets) is stored locally on your device. You are solely responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your data and for creating backups using the App's export feature. We are not liable for any data loss resulting from device failure, accidental deletion, or App uninstallation.

4 Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, logo, graphics, text, and code, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

The name "Expense Tracking" and the associated logo are proprietary to us. You may not use them without our prior written consent.

5 Third-Party Services

The App integrates third-party services including but not limited to Google AdMob (advertising) and Firebase (crash diagnostics). Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the conduct of any third-party service.

6 Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components. The App is intended as a personal finance management tool only and does not constitute financial, investment, or legal advice.

7 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of — or inability to use — the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid (if any) for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim. Because the App is free, this limit is effectively zero.

8 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the App in violation of these Terms or applicable law.

9 Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

10 Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. The revised Terms take effect immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

11 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any dispute arising out of these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation; failing that, through binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.
